The first church in Munderfing was likely built in the 8th century as part of the Christianization process. By the 12th century, it was already a parish church. The present-day church is a late-Gothic structure and is characterized by a Baroque onion-domed tower, which took on its current form in 1772. After the great fire of 1852, the Baroque spire was added to the tower in 1863.
The interior was renovated in the Baroque style in 1722. The stucco work by Johann Michael Vierthaler is particularly worth seeing. A side altar, known as the “Plague Altar,” features statues by Meinrad Guggenbichler dating from 1714. The church was last restored in 1987.
