Bilger Home

This former road builder´s home was the hub of artist Margret Bilger´s life.
The famous Austrian painter and graphic designer Margret Bilger, who liked to paint the lovely countryside of the "Pram pastures", lived in this house. It was here where she created many of her famous drawings, watercolor paintings and "woodcuts".
The House by the Pram River has been preserved just as it was in time long past.
A Bilger Home association was founded in 1998 with the aim to install a memorial museum in the building.
The modest living and working space of Margret Bilger and her husband H.J. Breustedt has been lovingly maintained to give most a good impression of how the Home must have looked back in time.
In the year 2004, on occasion of Margret Bilger´s 100th birthday, the Museum will festively be opened.
