The Himmelreich biotope is located in a 2 1/2 ha forest and meadow swampland. In an alder forest various ponds and puddles have been laid out. The largest pond has a breeding area for flying ducks.
A great variety of indigenous trees and bushes (partly with label) are part of the typical flora of this region. The original forms of fruit trees are particularly worth mentioning.
Along the main gravel road you find many types of rock characteristic for this landscape, like marbel, gneiss, slate, limestone as well as fossilized corals and snails. Labels on the rocks and a showcase give detailed information about many interesting minerals.
