Peuerbach Castle

Due to major alterations and extensions the former fortress was turned into a charming castle.

It is difficult to tell the precise location of the original core of the castle, yet there is evidence that Peuerbach was initially built as a moated castle, surrounded by a ditch.

Four square towers marked the corners of the ring wall, which surrounded the inner courtyard and the residential and other buildings.
