Parish Church of Oberhofen

Oberhofen am Irrsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The parish church of Oberhofen is altered to St. Blasius and the 14 helpers in need.

Like most of the churches in the Mondsee area the parish church in Oberhofen had an important role as a subsidiary church of the former monastery in Mondsee.
The gothic church from the first half of the 15th century has been hardly changed through the years. From the gothic interieur a panel painting from 1500 was conserved showing the 14 helpers in need. The three altars and the pulpit are from the famous sculptor Meinrad Guggenbichler and are said to be some of his most important works.
