To mark the 100th anniversary of Fritz Fröhlich's birth, the Cistercian Abbey of Wilhering opened the new Fritz Fröhlich Collection in specially adapted rooms in the so-called Meierhof.
The newly designed exhibition in the Abbey Museum provides a condensed insight into Fröhlich's artistic work over several decades.

Fritz Fröhlich is one of the best-known artistic personalities of the 20th century in Upper Austria. Fröhlich, who was active as an artist until his death, left behind an extensive oeuvre centred on painting. Other focal points of his work centred on graphic art, collage and sculpture. There were also several frescoes, projects in public spaces and restoration commissions.
