If you look back from the Community Hospital Church towards the Water Tower, you will see Braunau's "Malerwinkel" (Painters' Quarter). The settlement "Am Berg", a group of houses with pointed and stepped gables featuring a strangely interlocking type of construction, is situated in south-eastern direction and conveys a typical impression of Gothic architecture.
