Today, the Farmer´s War Memorial is a popular Inn where visitors will be warmly welcomed.
The former Castle of Hinterndobl was erected in the year 1560 by Leopold Puecher, Curator at Erlach. Through a marriage the Castle beame the property of the "Willinger of Au" dynasty. Achaz Willinger of Au played a decisive role in the Farmer´s Revolt of 1926. After the death of Stefan Fadinger, he was the commander of the farmer´s army. When the rebellion was quelled he was decapitated in Linz.
The Brewery Inn of Hinterndobl (the original Hinterndobl Castle which had a small brewery on premises) today is a popular outing destination. A memorial plaque commemorates the Farmer´s Revolt.
