The Bruckner organ, equipped with 4 manuals, 103 stops and 7389 organ pipes, is known far beyond the borders of the country.
It was built between 1770 and 1774 by the Ljubljana priest and organ builder Franz Xaver Chrisman
and named in 1930 after the former Florian choirboy, teacher and organist
teacher and organist Anton Bruckner.
Anton Bruckner, the "composer of God", is buried under the famous Bruckner organ in the Augustinian canons' monastery of St Florian.
