The Bruckner organ, which has four manuals, 103 stops and 7,389 organ pipes, is known far beyond the country's borders.

It was built between 1770 and 1774 by the Ljubljana priest and organ builder Franz Xaver Chrisman and named in 1930 after the former Florian choirboy, teacher and organist Anton Bruckner.

Anton Bruckner is buried under the famous Bruckner organ in the Augustinian canons' monastery of St Florian.
