This double church in Haigermoos offers visitors something very special. Two churches were built on top of each other to form a double church. Through a slit in a marble step, you can take a look into the "mysterious lower church" below.

The parish church of Haigermoos is consecrated to Saints Peter and Paul.


The Haigermoos double church originated in the second half of the 15th century. It comprises an upper church and a lower church, the latter being a vast hall in two-nave design. The doors are decorated with lily-shaped fittings.
