Commissioned by Count Johann Albert Saint-Julien and designed by Anton Erhart Martinelli, Neu-Wartenburg castle was built in 1730-32 on the occasion of the visit of Emperor Karl VI. Painted in white and yellow and situated amidst a beautiful park, the castle resembles Vienna's famous Schönbrunn castle.
