Feyregg Castle

Feyregg Castle - one of the most beautiful baroque castles in Upper Austria! In 1170 Otto Sunn is mentioned as the first owner. The castle is a two to three storey hook-shaped building with three square towers. The courtyard is a lawn crossed by gravel paths and is closed off on the two unused sides by a high wall. The residential wing consists of the old palace of Feyregg Castle and the baroque extension between the palace, the old tower and the stair tower. Here are the living quarters of the owner. On the ground floor there are guest rooms, including the so-called President's Room, in which Federal President Karl Renner stayed when he was taking a cure in Bad Hall. On the upper floor are further living and state rooms with stucco ceilings. One hall is furnished with a carved strap ceiling and a multi-flamed lead crystal chandelier.
