Koaserin Nature Preserve

This lovely Nature Preserve sprawls across the communities of Heiligenberg, Peuerbach and Neukirchen am Walde.

The "Koasarin" is a microcosm of wetland habitats ranging from swamp to marsh tucked away in the gently rolling foothills of Innviertel Region and Hausruck Area. The Koasarin Nature Preserve´s trails system is perfect to take in the area´s diverse mixture of woodland and wetland, sprawling along the banks of Leithenbach brook to Furthmühle Mill in the west and to Schörgendorf in the east.

The stunning area showcases a riparian-type wetland that provides wildlife with rich food and habitat resources. The bewildering morass includes 86 bird species, a third of which are hatching birds.
