- All weather
The chapel, which can accommodate around 70 visitors, crowns the 879 metre high Kammererberg to the north of the Kammererhof. Built in the stone block style; arched windows and door enclose granite walls. In 1937, the neo-Gothic wooden altar was moved from the parish church in Weitersfelden to the pilgrimage chapel.
The "Kammerer-Kreuz" mountain chapel is located on the Kammererberg at an altitude of 989 metres in Weitersfelden, on the border with Silberberg, Kaltenberg. The pilgrimage chapel was built in place of a picture tree with the image of the Holy Trinity when lightning struck the tree. The image miraculously remained intact.
In fine weather, you will be rewarded with a marvellous distant view of the Alps. The Kammerer Kreuz is located on the Johannesweg.
