The parish church of Pabneukirchen is located in the market town of Pabneukirchen in the district of Perg. The church from around 1500 is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Upper Austria and is a listed building. The parish church, dedicated to the holy martyrs Simon and Judas, belongs to the deanery of Grein in the diocese of Linz.
Part of the Mühlviertel Gothic Route. One of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Upper Austria with a Romanesque architectural character. Built in 1488, the high altar from the 17th century depicts the parish patron saints Simon and Judah. West gallery with delicately crafted balcony (chancel) and two remarkable neo-Gothic rose windows.
A fresco depicting the "Arma Christi" (Arms of Christ) was discovered around 20 years ago.
