Aktivwelt Freiwald - Mein Langlaufeldorado

The Waldviertel communities of Bad Großpertholz/Karlstift, Langschlag and Groß Gerungs and the Mühlviertel communities of Liebenau, Unterweißenbach, Königswiesen and St. Georgen am Walde have jointly created an extensive network of cross-country ski trails (on the Hochpalteau of the Freiwald area).

The result of this project is to ensure a standardised signposting system and to fulfil other international quality criteria that offer cross-country skiers the best possible conditions for practising this sport.

Together, a folder was created containing all the necessary information with trail maps, altitude and route profiles in detail, as well as general information such as food and accommodation, sights and leisure activities away from the trails. The folder is available in all participating municipalities in the inns and at the municipal offices at a price of € 2.
