Cross-country skiing arena Weyer Waldhütte

Weyer, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Nordic skiing region
Trails in operation:
no

The cross-country skiing arena Waldhütte trails are located in the Waldhütte in the market town of Weyer. The trail runs, starting from the Almer, into the valley to the Wildgatter and out of the valley along the Dürnbach to the Hollensteiner Straße.
This means that perfectly groomed cross-country trails with a total length of approx. 9 km are available in a wonderful winter landscape for recreation-seeking and sporty cross-country skiers.

The classic trail with a total length of 7 km runs from the Hollensteinerstraße along the Dürnbach to the Hinteralm turnaround point. The 2 km long skating trail is located at the Almer (2 km into the valley).

The trails are groomed when there is enough snow and can be used free of charge. The skating trail is always groomed at the weekend. The use of the trails at dusk and at night is not permitted in order not to disturb the wild animals.

Use of the trails
The use of the trails is free of charge and at the cross-country skier's own risk. The signs along the trails must be observed. Special care is required when crossing roads; in case of doubt, skis must be taken off in order to cross the road safely. The cross-country skiers have to convince themselves of the safe use of the trails. No liability is accepted for damage of any kind or accidents.

The cross-country ski trails are maintained on a voluntary basis by members of the Waldhütte leisure association. Voluntary donations to cover the not inconsiderable operating costs of the trail equipment are always welcome for the use of the trails.
