The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary - the Annunciation. The current single-nave Gothic church was built around 1450 by master builder Stefan Krumenauer. The pointed tower (collapsed in 1922 and rebuilt within a year), the chapel of rest (with two stained glass windows by Margret Bilger), the Mount of Olives and the sacristy were added later.
In addition to a valuable Gothic Madonna (around 1460) and other works of art, the new organ is of particular importance: it was built in 1996 by master organ builder Rowan West from Ahrweiler in the old organ building tradition.
