The Taiskirchen reservoir is located on the district borders of Ried, Schärding and Grieskirchen. You can party, camp and barbecue by the lake. In June, the popular and well-known "Lake Festival" organised by the Taiskirchen rural youth takes place. The Staussee area is also popular for other events such as motorbike meetings.
Fixed three-legged barbecues are available for smaller barbecue parties. Two jetties invite you to spend romantic hours. Walks around the lake are also very pleasant. Camping and barbecues are free of charge on the designated pitches, but booking is necessary.
In winter, the lake is ideal for ice skating and curling.
