Gemeindevideo Mauerkirchen

The Mauerkirch town hall is located roughly opposite the Reischl house. It was most probably built in 1395, after the people of Mauerkirchen were granted market rights in 1373. A beautiful Gothic hall with columns and cross ribs has been preserved on the ground floor. The market coat of arms can be seen on the façade, which also shows the Bavarian national emblem alongside the church. It is a reminder that the Innviertel belonged to Bavaria until 1779.
