Schutzengelkapelle

Dorf an der Pram, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The chapel in Kumpfmühl was built in 1891 by Leopold Raab in honour of the Holy Guardian Angel. After Raab's death in 1924, it was donated to the parish of Dorf. In the centre is the neo-Gothic altar with a bas-relief of St. Guardian Angel with a small child in his hand and a snake at his feet. To its left is a depiction of St Francis, to its right a relief of St Leopold. To the right of the altar is a relief of St Joseph and to the left of the altar is a depiction of Mary Lourdes. After extensive renovation work, the chapel has shone in new splendour since 1992.
