What began in 1910 with the acquisition of a horse-drawn ambulance has developed into a large and operational Red Cross service that daily serves the communities of Bad Hall, Pfarrkirchen, Adlwang, Waldneukirchen, and Rohr, totaling over 11,750 residents across an area of approximately 75 km².
Due to the spa and rehabilitation locations in Bad Hall, the local branch of Bad Hall annually undertakes more than 60 long-distance trips to all federal states of Austria.

Over time, the size of the service has also led to an increase in the number of areas of responsibility.

The local branch of Bad Hall carries out more than 8,000 emergency service outings each year with 6 vehicles, covering over 215,000 kilometers.

With 150 employees in the emergency service, 5 full-time paramedics, 4-7 civil servants, and over 40 employees in voluntary health and social services, the local branch is among the largest in the area.
