The Schärhaus, a listed building with a history dating back to 1609, is located in the center of Windischgarsten and offers a unique studio apartment. Our house is more than just accommodation. Schärhaus Studio
The Schärhaus Studio is located on the first floor and is ideal for overnight stays for 2 to 4 people. The vacation apartment was completely renovated in 2024 and features a living bedroom with a sofa bed (width 160 cm). A staircase leads up to the loft bed (double bed with width 160 cm). The ceiling height of the loft bed is approximately 135 cm. Additionally, the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. A coffee machine, kettle, and toaster are available. The modern bathroom offers a walk-in shower and toilet. There is a separate lockable room for bicycles and ski equipment. All windows are oriented towards the courtyard. A parking space is also located in the courtyard.

Pyhrn autobahn A9 - Exit Roßleithen/Windischgarsten - Federal road B138 towards Windischgarsten - after 700 m turn left towards Windischgarsten center - after about 1 km you will reach the Schärhaus at Hauptstraße 28, in the middle of the historic town center of Windischgarsten.

The host is the Schärhaus Association, which was founded in 2021. By establishing a coworking space in combination with tourism rental, the association has breathed new life into the formerly vacant building "Schärhaus." New ideas and value creation chains are to be developed that strengthen rural areas and promote the compatibility of family and work.
