STIFTSGASTHOF HOCHBURG
COMMITTED TO THE CENTURIES-OLD HISTORY OF THE INN
The Stiftsgasthof is your reasonably priced guesthouse with home-style cooking close to Burghausen. A large car and coach park, a function room and a beautiful garden await you.
Let us, Lili and Adolf Weinzierl and our staff spoil you. With over 36 years of experience in the hospitality industry, we know what is important.
Research into the history of the Stiftsgasthof dates back to the Middle Ages, when today's Stiftsgasthof is said to have been run as a tavern. Known at the beginning of the last century as the Spitzwieser estate and the Spitzwieser inn, the buildings have been preserved to this day. The former stables now serve as a parlour and the former inn is now used as a kitchen and farm building.
Our rooms are modern and equipped with everything you need, including free Wi-Fi access.
Our aim is to continue the tradition of the house and to delight you with good down-to-earth food, a cosy atmosphere, friendly service and moderate prices. Because we want you to come back!
Right next door is the birthplace of Franz Xaver Gruber, the composer of "Silent Night, Holy Night", and the Franz Xaver Gruber Peace Trail also leads past our hotel. Every year in December, the historical plays take place in our church with a wonderful Christmas craft market inside and outside our house. Not suitable for wheelchairs. The property is not compliant with Austria's ÖNORM legal standard.
