Seethalerhütte - mountain hut on the Dachstein - 2,740m

Obertraun, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Surrounded by the eternal ice of the Dachstein glacier, the Seethalerhütte on the Dachstein lies at 2,740 m above sea level.

The highest mountain hut in Upper Austria

The Seethalerhütte is located in a breathtaking setting and offers a wonderful view of the mountains as far as the Großglockner.

It was first built in 1929. The Seethalerhütte was rebuilt from 2016-2018, which was necessary as the structure of the old hut had suffered massive damage in recent years.

The Seethalerhütte belongs to the municipality of Obertraun.
