The Stallburgalm is situated on an idyllic alpine pasture at the foot of the Großer Almkogel. Many hiking trails criss-cross the densely wooded area, which is characterised by a particularly varied alpine flora. From the nearby summits you have a wonderful
wonderful panoramic view of the Tote Gebirge, the Gesäuse and the Ybbstaler Alps.
The hut staff takes care of the well-being of the hiking guests with tasty soups, snacks, and pastries. Our hut is managed every Saturday, Sunday, and on public holidays. During the week, the hut is available for self-caterers.
Due to the good connection (from Küpfern train station - access takes about 2 hours), the Stallburgalm is also an ideal destination for train travelers, students, and families, making it a good starting point for multi-day tours.
