Since 1939, guests have been enjoying warm hospitality at the Pöll Inn. Here, the phrase “Wia z’Haus” can be taken literally.
It’s authentic and very cozy. Yet it’s still modern. The inn is located on the edge of the Salzkammergut and at the foot of the Alpine foothills. The region’s culinary specialties are reflected on the plate. Then as now, down-to-earth cuisine—often with traditional roots—is combined with that certain something.
The ingredients for the delicacies on the menu come from the family’s own farm as well as from local suppliers and producers—and you can really taste the difference. In a cozy atmosphere, the Pöll family spoils their guests—from regulars in the area to day-trippers and vacationers, everyone feels right at home here.

How to get to Kirchham in the Traunsee-Almtal region:
We recommend travelling by public transport!
by train: via Wels station to Lambach station, take the Vorchdorf railway (line 160) to Vorchdorf Eggenberg and continue on the Traunsee tram to Kirchham Ort or from Gmunden with the Traunsee tram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl Bahnen to the Kirchham Ort stop.
Numerous connections from Wels railway station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee. Only 3 minutes walk from the railway station to the inn.
with the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 52 from Scharnstein or Laakirchen railway station to Kirchham to the Kirchham Ortsplatz stop, call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 and order.
Travelling by bike: Coming from Wels or Linz on the R 4 Traunradweg or R6 Römerradweg, or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt on the R 6 Römerradweg to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach and then via Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting to Vorchdorf, continuing in the direction of Gmunden. From Gmunden via Gschwandt to Kirchham, cycle connection partly along the Traunseetram route.
Also via the cycle connection from the R 11 Almtalradweg from Almsee via Pettenbach, briefly onto the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg to Einsiedlung and then on the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg to Kirchham, also from Laakirchen to Kirchham.

Motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - exit A1 Vorchdorf
Innkreis motorway A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A1 - exit A1 Vorchdorf
Take the Vorchdorf bypass in the direction of Gmunden as far as Kirchham, the inn is located directly on the main road to Gmunden.
