"Everyone should feel at home and have a good time at our establishment," says Albin Schartlmüller, chef and youngest son of the house, who has been running his parents' traditional inn since 2012. The trained chef has cooked in various award-winning restaurants and honed his skills in Chile, Vienna, Linz and the Arlberg. Our pastry board is also famous - there are always at least six sweet, home-made delicacies on it. The drunken Kapuziner, the chocolate brownie with a scoop of ice cream and a homemade parfait depending on the season have become real classics from our dessert variety. But the young landlord has not forgotten his culinary heritage - he attaches particular importance to Austrian cuisine with products from the Mühlviertel region. Our inn has been a family business since 1927 and is located in cosy Pierbach on the Mühlviertler Alm. We have a traditional parlour warmed by a wood-fired tiled stove, a beautiful hall with a movable ceiling for up to 150 people and a cosy guest garden - here you can enjoy delicious delicacies from the grill. We mainly cook with regional delicacies, sweet and savoury dumpling variations of the finest quality are available all year round. For example, Blunznknödl or baked bacon dumplings, for which the bacon is smoked in-house. The dumplings come with our popular coleslaw and with the natural juice from our legendary roast pork, which we serve fresh from the wood-fired tiled oven - as delicious as you can get anywhere else. But there is also plenty on offer for the discerning palate. The young landlord is also happy to spoil you with multi-course surprise menus, barbecue or game buffets. To offer something for everyone.
