The butcher's shop and tavern Silmbroth have been family-owned since 1905 and through consistent work, a lot of passion and personal commitment have been made into the traditional business that it is today - an epitome of down-to-earthness, regionality and quality, behind which a large family proudly stands.

... in this sense, we strive to preserve culinary traditions as well as hospitality and cosiness in our inn, rely on down-to-earth and regional cuisine and pamper our guests with specialties from our own butcher's shop and local products.

Kesselheiße - a sign of our strength from the combination of butcher shop and inn ... Every Thursday from 8.00-12.30 (if it is closed on Thursday, Kesselheating takes place on Wednesday beforehand.)

Barbecue evening - a highlight in the warm season ... From the end of June to September you can meet on Thursdays from 5.30 p.m. in the cozy garden for delicacies from the charcoal grill and salad buffet.

We are also an ideal starting point for hikes on the Bäckerberg and Hacklberg, we are located on the romantic village square of Viechtwang with the baroque church Viechtwang, and we can also be easily reached with the Almtalbahn, only a 10-minute walk to Viechtwang train station.

You can visit us also by bike on the Almtalradweg R 11, which leads from Wels to the Almsee or on the "Traunviertel Tour", which you can continue to cycle to Gmunden.
