The first official documentation of our restaurant dates back to 1472.
Gastronomy with history
In 1504 Emperor Maximilian 1. stayed in the old mining town of Hallstatt and gave the house the right to brew. A brewing right that was exercised until 1907.
The cozy atmosphere of an ancient inn has remained to this day, the homely nature of a family business that has been able to preserve its tradition for centuries and yet can offer its guests the conveniences and comforts of our age. The kitchen and cellar continue to offer home-made delicacies.
