Our farm, idyllically situated on the banks of the Enns River, was first mentioned in a document in 1524 under the name Freundlgut. Johann Sacher purchased the property in 1918. The farm has been family-owned ever since. The farm was operated as a full-time arable and dairy farm. We’ve been producing and selling apple cider and snacks since the postwar years. In 2000, I, Maria Brandner, took over my parents’ farm as the fourth generation, together with my husband Robert. In 2013, following a complete renovation, we opened our cider tavern. Today, with the active support of our daughters Katharina and Teresa, we run our cider farm.
