The Pöstlingbergbahn, one of the steepest adhesion railways in Europe, has been impressing guests from all over the world with its unusual and idyllic route since 1898. With the commissioning of the new Pöstlingberg tram in 2009, a direct connection between Linz's main square and Pöstlingberg was established. With a route length of 4.14 km, the Pöstlingbergbahn overcomes a height difference of 255 metres in 20 minutes. For nostalgia fans, rides in the revitalised old carriages are offered depending on availability.
