Guided tour of the brewery Linz Beer

Linz beer belongs to the city. For 145 years, "Linzer Bier" was brewed in Upper Austria's capital. We are proud of this tradition and origin. Based on the historic recipe from the old Poschacher brewery, we revive the beer style of yesteryear.

There was already a brewery in Linz as early as 1836, and “Linzer Bier” was brewed there until 1981. Now, nearly 40 years later, the Linzer Bier brand is being revived and will have its own brewery right in the heart of Linz.

On guided tours of the Linz brewery, you’ll delve into the history of the Linzer Bier brand and Linz as a brewing city. The history of the tobacco factory and the listed former power plant are also part of the tour. In addition, during the tour of the brewery, you’ll gain exclusive insight into the brewing process and learn all about the regional ingredients used to make Linzer Bier. The tour concludes with a tasting of a wide variety of Linzer beers.

Group tours are available by advance reservation only (at least 7 business days in advance) and can take place Monday through Saturday at the following times:
Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Tours are available for groups of 8 or more, up to a maximum of 40 participants (a second guide will be assigned for groups of 25 or more). Larger groups can contact the Linz Brewery by email.
