The snow-covered three-thousand metre peaks are your constant companions on this stage. Lush green meadows, pretty farmsteads and cosy villages greet you. You leave the traditional town of Lofer and cycle close to the banks of the Saalach river across the "green border" to Bad Reichenhall in Bavaria. In Oberndorf, the "Silent Night Chapel" invites you to take a break from cycling. A little off the cycle path is a mysterious moorland landscape.
