Day 1 - Individual arrival in Salzburg
Arrival for your cycling holiday in Austria. Check into your hotel in Salzburg and pick up your travel documents for your cycle tour in the Salzkammergut. Explore the city of Salzburg on your own before setting off on your cycle tour the next day. Tip: Enjoy an evening fortress concert at Hohensalzburg Fortress. Day 2 - From Salzburg to Lake Wolfgangsee, approx. 50 km
On the first day of cycling, you will pick up your bike (if you have booked our hire bikes) at the Amedia Hotel Salzburg. You leave the city of Mozart and cycle through Salzburg's Flachgau region via Eugendorf to Thalgau. The cycle tour in the Salzkammergut takes you along the breathtaking Drachenwand to Mondsee. On the Scharfling, the view opens up to Lake Wolfgangsee. And the Salzkammergut cycle path takes you down to the Mozart village of St. Gilgen at breakneck speed. Depending on where you are staying, you will have the boat and ferry trip on the second or third day of your cycle tour. Hotel example: Hotel Weißer Bär**** in St. Wolfgang

Day 3 - From Lake Wolfgangsee to Lake Traunsee, approx. 40 km
Today's cycle tour takes you in the direction of Bad Ischl, the imperial town attracts visitors with its culture, culinary delights and history. For decades, it was the workplace of numerous artists and Franz Joseph's summer residence. The cycle path in the Salzkammergut continues along the leisurely Traun river to Ebensee. Now it is only a short distance to Traunkirchen. Hotel example: Symposionhotel Post**** in Traunkirchen

Day 4 - From Lake Traunsee to Lake Attersee, approx. 40 km
Like a fjord, Lake Traunsee squeezes between the Traunstein and Höllengebirge mountains. You cycle along the Salzkammergut cycle path towards the ceramics town of Gmunden. Take time to visit the Ort lake castle and the marvellous lake promenade. Continue along the cycle path in Upper Austria through the Aurach Valley towards Lake Attersee. For literature fans, a detour to the Thomas Bernhard House in Ohlsdorf is highly recommended before you reach your destination for the day. Hotel example: Hotel Spitzerwirt*** in St. Georgen

Day 5 - From Lake Attersee to Lake Mondsee, approx. 35 km
Follow the turquoise-coloured Attersee along the cycle path to Unterach. After a 2 km long valley, the legendary Mondsee opens up. Continue your cycle tour in Austria along the northern shore on the Salzkammergut cycle path to the picturesque lakeside town of the same name. If you are a fan of the Stone Age, explore the prehistoric pile dwellings, while if you are a foodie, you will certainly prefer the region's specialities. Hotel example: Hotel Krone**** in Mondsee

Day 6 - From Mondsee to Salzburger Seenland, approx. 45 km
Today, your cycle tour in the Salzkammergut takes you leisurely through the Mondseeland. You pass the unspoilt Irrsee lake until you reach the Salzburg lakes. Be sure to try the speciality beers from the Trumer brewery. Hotel example: Hotel Seewirt in Mattsee

Day 7 - From the Salzburg Lake District to Salzburg, approx. 45 km
The Salzburg lakes invite you to take a dip in the cool water at numerous unspoilt bathing spots. On a leisurely ride along the cycle path back to Salzburg, take a last look at the magnificent mountains of the Salzkammergut. Hotel example: Hotel Europa**** in Salzburg
