The aim of this natural spectacle is a child-friendly scientific encounter with the water world of the mountain waters of the inner Almtal.
In a playful yet technically well-founded approach, we examine the fauna of a flowing body of water and compare it with that of a standing body of water (protected area of small Öd or Almsee).
This not only requires a landing net, magnifying glasses and identification books, but also a little patience and respect for nature. There is the possibility to practice dealing with catching and identifying aquatic life. All animals caught are released again.
The tour includes short walks from the meeting point to the stream and from the stream to the lake. The necessary material will be made available. For a playful introduction, exhibits from the Biology Center Linz are available.
The common thread: only when you know something can you appreciate it and work to protect and preserve it.
These nature conservation aspects are conveyed to 4-12 year olds through intensive study of the animal world.
