Austria is the land of culinary and scenic pleasures. This biking tour along the Danube Bike Path offers an expedition through the variety presented by the regions between Schärding / Passau and Vienna. You will have the opportunity to try regional culinary treats that will make your palate rejoice whilst on your bike tour along the Danube.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
The cycling holidays start in Passau. Check-in and you receive your travel documents for your bike tour. The well-known “Three River City” will impress you with its picturesque old town. Handover of your rented bike takes place in our bike centre. Example of hotel: Hotel Passauer Wolf*** in Passau
Day 2 - From Passau to Engelhartszell/surroundings, approx. 30 km
From Passau you are cycling through the upper Danube Valley to Engelhartszell, Austria's only Trappist cloister where we recommend to taste some of the delicious liqueurs produced by the monks. Example of hotel: Hotel-Restaurant Goldenes Schiff*** in Engelhartszell
Day 3 - From Engelhartszell/surroundings to Aschach/Eferding, approx. 40 km
Today a truly magnificent highlight awaits you on your bike route: the famous meander “Schlögener Schlinge”. A short but steep climb to the Schlögener lookout point gives you a breathtaking view across the Danube Valley before you continue the cycle route to Aschach. Day 4 - From Aschach/Eferding to Linz, approx. 30 km
Cycling along the bike route through the wide spread region of the “Eferdinger Becken” before you arrive in Linz. Tip: Enjoy a piece of “Linzer Torte” in one of the lovely Café's Linz has to offer. Example of hotel: ARCOTEL Nike**** in Linz
Day 5 - From Linz to Wallsee/Mitterkirchen, approx. 45 km
Continue the cycling holidays along River Danube through the flat Machland to Wallsee. Example of hotel: Wallseerhof*** in Wallsee
Day 6 - From Wallsee/Mitterkirchen to Marbach/surroundings, approx. 45 km
The cycle path leads you leisurely through the untouched meadowlands to the legendary Strudengau region until you reach Marbach/surroundings. Example of hotel: Hotel Zur Schönen Wienerin*** in Marbach
Day 7 - From Marbach/surroundings to Krems, approx. 50 km
The lovely vineyard laiden hills and the grandiose Abbey of Melk mark this picturesque landscape of the Wachau Valley. Enjoy your cycling tour in Upper Austria through its world-famous villages Melk, Dürnstein and Spitz. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof Zum goldenen Engel*** in Krems
Day 8 - From Krems to Tulln, approx. 40 km
Today enjoy cycling through the magnificent vineyards of the Wachau Valley and continue along the Danube cycle path to the Roman town of Tulln. Example of hotel:Diamond City Hotel**** in Tulln
Day 9 - From Tulln to Vienna, approx. 35 km
On the last day of your cycle holidays, you reach Vienna, Austria's capital where a great variety of sights awaits you. The fun-fair park Prater, Palace Schönbrunn with its zoo or the Vienna Hofburg, well worth a visit. Example of hotel: Hotel Roomz Prater**** in Vienna
Day 10 - Return transfer to Passau or extra nights
Return from your cycling holidays along River Danube's cycle path to Passau, in Season A and B by train (transfer of your own bike not included), in season C by bus (transfer of your own bikes included) or on request by train (transfer of your own bikes not included).
