Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
Welcome to the city of three rivers! Use the day for a relaxed stroll through the old town or a walk to the Veste Oberhaus with a magnificent view over the Danube, Inn and Ilz. You will receive your travel documents at the hotel - your rental bike will be waiting for you at the nearby bike rental point.

Day 2 - From Passau to the Schlögener Schlinge, approx. 40 km
Your cycle tour along the Danube begins today. You cycle leisurely through green meadow landscapes via Obernzell and past Engelhartszell Abbey. A stop in a typical beer garden invites you to enjoy regional delicacies and a cool drink.

Day 3 - Through the Schlögener Schlinge to Aschach, approx. 30km
Experience a natural wonder today: the Schlögener Schlinge, a river bend surrounded by dense forests. The short ascent to the 'Schlögener Blick' viewpoint rewards you with a magnificent view. Afterwards, you cycle leisurely on to charming Aschach - ideal for a break on the riverbank.

Day 4 - From Aschach to Mitterkirchen, approx. 60 km & train ride
Today you cycle leisurely through Feldkirchen to Ottensheim, from where you take the train to Linz - time for a stroll through the town or a coffee on the main square. Your cycle tour then takes you through the beautiful Machland region to Mitterkirchen.

Day 5 - From Mitterkirchen to the Mostviertel, approx. 45 km
You cross fertile countryside with orchards and historic farmhouses. A detour to Austria's oldest theater in Grein is worthwhile.

Day 6 - From the Mostviertel to the Wachau, approx. 35 km
Today the Danube cycle path takes you to the famous Wachau region. A visit to the baroque Melk Abbey is a must. The route continues through vineyards and orchards. In the evening, enjoy a Veltliner in the sunset, a perfect end to your cycling day.

Day 7 - Through the Wachau to Vienna, approx. 40 km & train ride
Today you cycle through picturesque villages such as Spitz, Dürnstein and Weißenkirchen. Wineries, narrow alleyways and wine terraces exude the typical Wachau flair. From Traismauer, the train takes you comfortably to Vienna - the crowning glory of your cycle tour on the Danube cycle path.

Day 8 - Return journey to Passau or extension in Vienna
You start your journey home with many wonderful impressions and encounters. In seasons A and B, the return journey is comfortable by train (own bikes are not included). In season C, you travel back to Passau in comfort by bus, including bike transport.
