In the middle of the Mühlviertel Nature Park - only 25 minutes by car from Linz - lies the small, fine spa town of Bad Zell in the Mühlviertler Alm region.
Gentle hills and huge granite boulders, forests, meadows and streams create a wonderful landscape whose magic is hard to resist.
Bad Zell has radon-containing water, the healing effects of which are undisputed from a medical point of view. The noble gas radon primarily helps with rheumatic complaints and signs of wear and tear on joints. However, the healing spring also gives new vitality to anyone who feels tired and lacking in energy and is not called the "fountain of youth" for nothing.
Today, a medical competence center - the Radonarium - has been created around the water of life at Lebensquell Bad Zell. In addition to the radon and rheumatism spa, this includes modern therapy facilities and competent medical care by the medical director, Dr. Maria Holzmann. The Radonarium also offers the first whole-body cold therapy in Upper Austria. The three-minute cold experience at -110 °C causes systemic changes in the body that lead to pain relief or freedom from pain for various complaints.

The 4-star superior Hotel Lebensquell has 78 rooms including suites, which offer the highest level of comfort and the special ambience of the four elements. A very special experience awaits guests as they enter the Hotel Lebensquell: the Brotbackhäusl. A cozy atmosphere welcomes you into the modern reception hall. The Lebensquell Bad Zell invites its guests to enjoy a welcome drink in the hotel bar. Guests are also treated to regional and international specialties in the Feuerkuchl restaurant.

The sauna oasis promises invigorating relaxation with the fragrant troad box and sweat box, the bear's cave and natural sauna, the Fuchsluck'n (salt crystal sauna), the badger's den (Swiss stone pine sauna) or the bubble bath and plunge pool.
NEW: Garden lounge: 250 m² relaxation room with a view of the greenery exclusively for our hotel guests.
In the self-service restaurant "Schmankerlquelle" you will find space for a snack in between, and if you get too warm after the sauna infusion, you can quench your thirst at the sauna bar. Round trips by bike or electric bike (for a fee) - subject to availability and weather conditions, exercise in nature while hiking, Nordic walking or mountain biking on one of the numerous signposted routes and trails, and with selected partners also archery or golf for beginners and professionals.
Let Bad Zell and its surroundings activate you in winter:
Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking. You can go ice skating and curling on a recreational pond nearby.
The health resort Lebensquell Bad Zell itself has its own training center with trained therapists and medically certified training equipment.
