The first mention of an innkeeper at the Weitersfelden No. 1 location dates back to 1559—since that time, the site has consistently operated as a tavern or inn. The Leopoldseder family, later the Bindreiter family, has been running the current inn (family estate) since 1804. Given this long history, the future—as well as the establishment’s traditions worth preserving—lies in its continuation by the next generation.
