Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
You travel to the three-river city of Passau on your own. Check into your room at the hotel and receive your detailed travel documents. The rental bikes will be ready for you to collect from the bike counter.

Day 2 - From Passau to the Schlögener Schlinge, approx. 40 km
Your first day of cycling takes you along the Danube into the wild and romantic Upper Danube Valley. In Engelhartszell you should plan a stopover at the famous Engelszell Abbey. The Schlögener Schlinge awaits you at the end of the stage - a spectacular natural wonder on the Austrian Danube and a popular photo motif during your cycling vacation.

Day 3 - From the Schlögener Schlinge to Linz, approx. 55 km
You continue your cycle tour through the fertile Eferding basin. You soon reach Linz, the modern city of culture, which impresses with its successful combination of tradition and future. This lively Danube city is a real highlight on the Danube cycle path and makes your cycling vacation a cultural experience.

Day 4 - From Linz to Grein/surroundings, approx. 60 km
After a short tour of the city, you cycle on through the Danube valley. On your cycle tour you pass Mauthausen and reach the charming town of Grein. The Danube cycle path takes you through a scenic region.

Day 5 - From Grein/surroundings to the Wachau, approx. 70 km
Your route takes you on a cycle tour through the unspoilt Strudengau region to Melk. On your cycle tour along the Austrian Danube, a stop at the imposing Benedictine Abbey of Melk is well worthwhile. The Danube Cycle Path also offers ideal conditions for your cycling vacation on this stage.

Day 6 - Wachau enjoyment to Krems/Traismauer/surroundings, approx. 40 km
Today you will experience perhaps the most beautiful section of your cycle tour. The Danube cycle path takes you through the Wachau with towns such as Weißenkirchen, Spitz and Dürnstein. Typical wine taverns invite you to enjoy and linger along the way - a real highlight when cycling.

Day 7 - From Krems/Traismauer to Vienna, approx. 70 km
The last stage of your cycle tour takes you to the Austrian capital. If you like, you can shorten the route to Tulln or Klosterneuburg by train and thus make your cycling vacation more flexible. Once you arrive in Vienna on the Danube Cycle Path, numerous sights await you - a perfect end to your cycling vacation.

Day 8 - Return journey to Passau or additional nights
Return journey to Passau. In seasons A and B, the return journey is comfortable by train (please note: own bikes are not included). In season C, you travel back to Passau in comfort by bus - bike transport is included here. Alternatively, a return journey by train is also possible on request. Extend your stay in Vienna to round off your Danube trip at your leisure.
