Klimazone reloaded at the Phönix theatre

The multi-sensory theatre installation does not tell us about the climate or stories about the climate, but makes it tangible. We are part of the process, our bodies are part of the playing surface on which the score of extreme weather conditions takes its course.

The KLIMAZONE relies on sensory experience rather than spoken theatre. With a mixture of state-of-the-art sound technology and classical theatre techniques, a meditative space is created here that makes the connection to our environment tangible again: there is something to experience on your own body.

School classes can also request individual appointments. On request, an introduction or debriefing can also be booked as part of a workshop.

Age recommendation: from 8 years

The Theater Phönix in Wiener Straße, which has been in existence since 1989, is one of the most important independent theatres in Austria and focuses on openness and diversity in the theatre landscape.
In addition to innovative interpretations and adaptations of classical material and plays and contemporary drama, the promotion of and collaboration with young authors and artists as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with cultural and educational institutions are important focal points that are reflected in the theatre's programme.
