Hotel-Restaurant Lukas Kapeller

New opening in the historic management building of the former Steyr works

The centrepiece of the new pleasure penthouse is the restaurant in the form of an artist's studio, decorated entirely in elegant black with a view over the former Steyr works and Steyr's old town. Smoked, oiled oak flooring, olive-green chairs and green plants growing from the ceiling create visual contrasts, while indirect designer lighting creates atmosphere.

Up to a maximum of 20 guests can be seated around the open kitchen, where JRE Lukas Kapeller and Michael Schlöglhofer prepare an 8-course menu. Extremely focussed on flavour, they primarily showcase regional products in often astonishing creations, but also add Mediterranean flavours from time to time.
The range of matching wines is an exciting mix of natural and classic, with France and Burgundy in particular playing an important role alongside Austria.

In addition, three small rooms and two studio flats have been created in the 350 m² rooftop area. Each is a fine, minimalist, modern living retreat in shades of green, turquoise and blue.
