Approaches:
From the Brunnental car park, hiking trail 433 takes about 2.5 hours through Katzengraben to the Steyrerhütte
The hut can also be reached from the "Sepp-Huber-Hütte" mountain hut via path 431 with the intermediate destination Kasberg, approx. 3 hours.
The Steyrerhütte is also a stage destination on the Salzkammergut Berge Seen Trail in the alpine stages.
