The location is unique - situated directly on the banks of the mighty Danube River, surrounded by timeless natural beauty. The house itself boasts over 300 years of history and impresses with its simple modernity after a careful complete renovation in 2008 – a successful symbiosis of old and new. Sustainability is highly valued in our establishment; therefore, we are proud to hold the Austrian Environmental Label.
The hotel has been offering a total of 48 comfort rooms (38 double rooms, 11 single rooms) since October 2013. The romantically styled restaurant in the former castle area, the Danube terrace with breathtaking views, and the picturesque courtyard complement the generous space offerings.
Our head chef & team pamper you with specialties from Austrian cuisine, seasonal delicacies, and Mediterranean delights. Additionally, a cozy bar, a spacious foyer, and a wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin, solarium, and generous relaxation room invite you to unwind.
Holidays & Leisure
The attractive location - situated directly on the Danube bike path and Donausteig - offers a wide range of leisure activities. Numerous cycling and hiking trails (including mountain bike routes) invite you to explore nature. The boat dock is located right in front of the hotel and offers additional excursion opportunities, e.g., a trip to Passau or Linz, Engelhartszell, as well as a boat trip to the Schlögener Loop. Or explore the most beautiful section of the Danube with the Zille.

The exhibition space of the Association of Boatmen from the Upper Danube Valley is located in the hotel and is dedicated to the construction of Zillen and the history of Zillen navigation along the Danube.
