National Park Panorama Tower Wurbauerkogel

A magnificent mountain backdrop awaits you from the panoramic tower at Wurbauerkogel in the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region. A total of 21 peaks over 2000 meters can be seen from the adventure mountain in good visibility. The names of the surrounding summits can be read on the panoramic boards located on various floors. At the top of the observation platform, you will be treated to a 360-degree view. This extends from the Sengsengebirge over the Reichraminger Hintergebirge to the Haller Mauern, the Warscheneck, and the Toten Gebirge. Additionally, you can also spot the distinctive Kleiner Buchstein in the Gesäuse National Park!

Wow moments come in abundance, which you can experience at the glass tower in Windischgarsten, and from a new perspective.

Knowledge to take away at the panoramic tower

21 meters high and spanning over six floors, the glass panoramic tower at Wurbauerkogel not only offers spectacular views of the surrounding Upper Austrian mountain panorama but also houses an interesting exhibition. In the "Fascination Rock" exhibition, both large and small visitors will learn everything about the local mountain world and the flora and fauna adapted to the conditions. On 150 square meters, extraordinary, remarkable, and world-class achievements from the animal and plant worlds are presented to the visitors.

• Comfortably reach the observation terrace with the panoramic lift. In good visibility, 21 peaks over 2000 meters can be seen!
• Starting point for hikes in the Kalkalpen National Park. The theme trail "Nature Tracks" leads to the National Park Lodge Villa Sonnwend.

A9 - Exit Roßleithen - B138 direction Windischgarsten - town center - turn at the municipal office for the parking lot at the mountain railway. The "arrival" at the 858m high Wurbauerkogel takes place on marked hiking trails (walking time approx. 3/4 hours, close to 250 meters in elevation), or by bike or car.
