MOUNTAIN BIKING CLOSE TO NATURE ON THE ROADLBERG

Hand-built single trails, particularly nature-friendly, rooted in the region and implemented collectively.
As the first official Mühlviertel trail center, the Roadlberg trails in Ottenschlag im Mühlkreis and Alberndorf in der Riedmark were officially opened and approved on 11 June 2023. The trails lead around the observation tower through the impressive mixed forests of the popular excursion mountain.

The Roadlberg trails are operated by UpperTrails
Commercial offers are generally not permitted under the Forestry Act; a usage request must therefore be submitted to UpperTrails.

In addition to 3 designated mountain bike trails with different levels of difficulty, the Roadlberg trails include the Radl-Schui practice area with several themed routes and difficulties for learning and improving the correct riding technique on the bike. The mountain bike trails are open to the general public free of charge. Since June 2023, the Popaflo bike store has been located right next to the trails, including a workshop and (e-bike) rental.

As with all UpperTrails projects, a particularly high value was also placed on near-natural construction in the Roadlberg nature reserve in the gentle Mühlviertel hills. The narrow forest trails were created exclusively by hand in hundreds of hours of work and without any external materials. The Roadlberg trails can be used by private individuals and local clubs all year round and free of charge in compliance with the fair play rules.

We ask you to keep the parking spaces at the Roadlhof free for guests - especially at weekends and during weddings, parking spaces are otherwise scarce and should not be additionally restricted by the cars of mountain bikers.
