Short, but very exposed via ferrata, which is less interesting as an independent company due to the brevity. It is recommended to connect it with the original "Leadership-via ferrata" to the Predigstuhl, which can be reached via a marked hiking trail afterwards.

Very short but very exposed via Ferrata

Route description

From the entrance extremely exposed on treads (C) under overhangs cross to the left. Then upright to slightly overhanging the exposed wall (C / D) up. Under slight overhangs to the right, cross (D) and up a steep upswing (D). Through a somewhat earthy channel (C) to exit.

Entrance to the via ferrata

From the Rathlucken Hut on the mountain and fairytale trail Bad Goisern first gently rising, then straigth to the "Ewige Wand" (eternal wall). On the impressive, beaten in the rock path through a tunnel to the entrance (height: 780 m). The via ferrata starts just before the second tunnel with a small bench and a yellow board.

Descent from the via ferrata

At the exit keep left and over the trail through the "Ewige Wand" (eternal wall) shortly back to the entrance. You can also hike on the marked hiking trail to the Leadership via ferrata up to the Predigstuhl.

Builder: Outdoor Leadership

The via ferrata is very exposed and to commit with the help of treadles. A head for heights and sure-footedness are required.

In case of emergency call the mountain rescue under 140!

Access to the via ferrata is reached before the second tunnel along the path cut out from the rocks.
  • Hop on description: The marked hiking trail leads past the exit in the direction of Predigstuhl, which you descend briefly until the junction of the hiking trail with the "Ewige Wand"(eternal wall). If you would like to extend the tour, a combination with the "Leadership via ferrata" is recommended. To do this, continue climbing the marked hiking trail until shortly before the summit of the Predigstuhl (1 to 1.5 hours). Then you follow the descent via the "Obermoos-Steig" for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction of the access path (sign "Klettersteig").

The via ferrata is accessible from May to October, depending on snow and weather conditions.
