Witness the return of the forest wilderness

In the Kalkalpen National Park, the forest is allowed to be a forest again - free from human intervention, it develops at its own pace. Trees grow, grow old, break, decay - and thus create a habitat for a fascinating variety of animal, fungal and plant species.

Dead wood becomes a source of new life here: as food, shelter or a seedbed for young trees. Step by step, a primeval forest of tomorrow is being created - and with it a unique ecosystem that is self-sustaining.

Good physical condition required. Walking time approx. 3 hours, total duration of the tour approx. 6 hours.

Hiking boots, weatherproof clothing, snacks and plenty to drink required, hiking poles recommended.

Should something come up...

The general cancellation conditions apply in our house.

There are no cancellation costs up to 28 days before arrival. Between 21-27 days before arrival we charge 50% of the total arrangement price, between 14-20 days we charge 70%, between 7-13 days 80% and from 6 days before arrival 90% of the total booked arrangement.

The Austrian hotel regulations apply. In general, cancellations of reservations are only accepted in writing.
