Embedded in the picturesque surroundings of the Kalkalpen National Park, the Ennser Hut invites you to enjoy, linger, and discover.

At an altitude of 1,295 m, our sun terrace offers a dreamy view and unforgettable sunsets in summer and winter. In the cozy guest room with tiled stove, we serve you traditional hut specialties that are still prepared on the wood stove. Whether it's a summit tour to Almkogel (1,513 m) with its spectacular 360° panoramic view or a sociable hut night in the mattress dormitory - the Ennser Hütte is a special experience at any time of the year. Whether with snowshoes or good footwear, the Ennser Hütte and Almkogel are also a dream destination in winter.

Hint / Advice: Diverse hiking trails as well as a mountain bike trail lead to the hut.

For mountain bikers: The starting point of the trail is at the train station in Großraming; alternatively, you can also start from the Bamacher parking lot

For hikers: In Großraming, cross the Enns bridge, then about 6 km to the Bamacher parking lot; from there, about 1 hour's walk to the
hut. Trail No. 492

Variants:

The trail No. 492 to the hut starts from the train station in Großraming. (approx. 3 hours walking time)
Train station in Großraming, Küpfern, or Kleinreifling: Many hiking trails lead over the Almkogel to the Ennser Hut and a station with the train return or choose another entry point
Parking lot in Brunnbach: via the Gschwendtalm – Gamstein – Danzersteig – Ennser Hut - Almkogel
for experienced hikers as a 2-day tour continuing over the Dürrensteig ridge until Hochzöbel – descent to the Hirschkogelsattel (Anlaufalm) to Brunnbach

Specialties

We spoil you with down-to-earth Austrian cuisine, good drinks and freshly tapped Zipfer beer from the barrel. We source our quality products (partly organic) from farmers & suppliers from the National Park region.

Our dishes are carefully and freshly prepared in the wood-fired oven. Hearty soups, snacks and traditional hut dishes, there is something for everyone. We serve our "guat's Holzofenbradl" (wood-fired baked beef) in advance (minimum order 10 people)! For a sweet finale, we spoil you with homemade pastries.
